About us
About us

David, who has worked at Huddersfield Town for nearly two decades, is the club’s Chief Operating Officer.

Initially joining the team’s commercial team upon promotion from Division Three in 2005, David quickly moved onto the Communications and Marketing team and led the club through an era of fast-paced change in the digital era, including the launch of the club’s first ever OTT platform and the installation of a new Customer Relationship Management system, giving the Club better understanding of its fanbase and allowing for more bespoke communication to supporters.

David led the marketing department as the club increased its Season Card base by 95% in the summer of 2016, and managed the complex relationship between the club and international broadcasters during its two-year stint in the Premier League; a contract worth over £200 million.

David subsequently became the football club’s youngest ever Director when he was invited onto the Board in October 2019.

Although this will be his first formal appointment as trustee of the Foundation, David worked closely with the organisation upon its inception in 2012 and has previously sat on the charity’s grant board.

Away from Huddersfield Town, David – who lives in the community with his wife – has worked with the PLC Certificate Program in the United Arab Emirates, working alongside the Senior Strategy Specialist for the UAE FA to share best practise in elite sports marketing with clubs on how to develop the game in their country.
